Original caption:

“Aaand... Clear! 💔⚠️ Once again, I proudly present my two favorite original characters, the jewel of my creation, in action (or at least one of them, if taken literally).
-Photoshop CS6; 3 hours-
And that's it with my recent artistic frenzy for now. Maybe. Hasta próximo aviso.”

Self-Management
Self-Management

Inspired by this book I bought at the JFK-Aiport of New York (I think) called Emotional Intelligence 2.0 by Travis Bradberry and Jean Greaves. The cover proudly displayed “the world’s most popular emotional intelligence test!” and I guess that was enough to catch my attention. God knows what games my neurons where playing at the time. I do, however, vividly remember the main thesis of the book, the division of emotional intelligence into four pillars: self-awareness, self-mangement, social awareness and relationship management.
Awkward silence.

Original caption:.

”One of the pillars of emotional intelligence.
"Self-management is the ability to use one's awareness of one's emotions to stay flexible and direct one's behavior positively. This means managing one's emotional reactions to situations and people".

Photoshop CS6, Aprox. 5 hours.”

"Falling" in Love
"Falling" in Love

I remember pretty clearly this one isn’t based on anyone specifically. After the success “My Head” had among friends and family I felt like exploring this idea a bit more, adding some depth to the character’s propensities and, I guess, personalities. Making this was extremely fun.

This one was inspired by the (in retrospect kind of embarrassing) crush I used to have on a fellow med student one and a half centuries ago. I feel like everyone knew about it but him.
I am still very proud and fond of this illustration to this day for many reasons. I love the innocent look of it and how it was the very first one featuring these two. One of those ideas you’re not entirely sure about until you have actually left in on paper (or a tablet screen).

Original caption:

”I l̶o̶v̶e̶ hate it when that happens.

Time: 4 hours
Tools: Photoshop CS6, Wacom Tablet.”
